The HAMMEL range of low-speed shredders offers extreme reliability in adverse conditions, because of its robust and simple construction. Drive
Our primary shredders are equipped with a diesel-hydraulic drive and Caterpillar engines or with an electric-hydraulic drive. The speed control of the shredding shafts work in three steps and depends on the load.
Operation
Machine operated by a 4-channel remote control. The electric version is also available with a separate power unit.

Material intake
… through a trough-shaped tilting hopper with a volume of between approx. 7 m3 - 11 m3 (depending on machine type). The clearance angle is up to 43°. For stationary plants a special feeding hopper is optional.

Material discharge
All HAMMEL-primary shredders are equipped with a wide discharge belt ranging from 800 mm to 1.400 mm (depending on machine type). The height of discharge is between approx. 3.400 mm – 4.400 mm. For transportation the belt is hydraulically folded in.

Customers can choose from a variation of different shredding shaft configurations to individually adapt their HAMMEL-shredder to their special shredding needs. We provide the right shaft for each material and end product requirement. Throughput and product end size depend on the different types of shafts. Generally, a final product size of approx. 150 mm – 400 mm can be achieved.
